Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the United States and much of the world. This new NIH-funded postdoctoral Training Program in Cardiovascular Sciences is designed to prepare graduates for careers as independent, productive cardiovascular investigators. Through a program comprised of rigorous didactics, an intensive research experience and a personalized mentoring plan, trainees will be uniquely poised to translate research findings into improved cardiovascular health.
